Nexly Agents vs Chatbase: a Chatbase alternative for omnichannel AI customer service

Updated 2026-10-14·Nexly Lab

Choose Chatbase if you want to build an AI agent yourself in minutes, pick the language model, pay for a monthly credit plan and connect channels such as Slack, WhatsApp, Instagram or phone on your own. Choose Nexly Agents if you need one AI customer service agent that also works in Microsoft Teams, Telegram and Signal, set up and tested by our team, with the option to self-host instead of processing data in the US.

How we compared

We used only public information: Chatbase's pricing page, documentation (channels, analytics, FAQ), privacy policy, enterprise page and its information page for AI assistants, all checked on 2026-10-14. Every fact about Chatbase links to its source below. Where Chatbase's pages did not state something, or contradicted each other, we say so. Prices change often, so check the linked pages before you decide.

We are the vendor of Nexly Agents (Nexly Lab, Warsaw, Poland), so read this as a vendor comparison, not an independent review.

When to choose Chatbase

Chatbase is a self-serve builder for AI agents trained on your own content. It has public pricing, broad channel coverage and a choice of language models, which suits teams that want to experiment and configure everything themselves.

When to choose Nexly Agents

Nexly Agents is an omnichannel AI agent: one agent and one knowledge base answer on your website, in e-mail, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Signal, Microsoft Teams and Slack. Conversations from messengers land in one message center with wait-time counters, queues and assignment to a person on your team.

For a GDPR-compliant setup, data is processed under a DPA, personal data is masked in conversation analytics and technical logs are deleted after 90 days. The widget installs with one snippet (WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify and others), supports SSO and has 40 modules such as a daily plan, calculators, courses with quizzes and a knowledge search.

Migrating from Chatbase

Start with the content your Chatbase agent was trained on: crawled pages, uploaded files, Q&A pairs and instructions. These become the approved knowledge for Nexly Agents. From that material we build a set of control questions, so you can compare expected and actual answers before launch, and your expert can override any verdict.

Then map your channels. Website chat, e-mail, WhatsApp, Messenger and Slack move one to one; Teams, Telegram and Signal can be added. The Nexly Agents widget replaces the chat snippet on your site. Plan 2–3 weeks from handing over the materials to a working agent on your knowledge. The first step is a free demo on your own website: give us the address and an e-mail.
